- You need to have a good score in JAMB, WAEC, or NECO and post UTME
- Must have at least 5 credits in your O level result. Either in WAEC or NECO. These subjects include English, Government, Literature in English, mathematics, and any other related subject.
Direct entry requirements for law in Nigeria
There are four (4) major requirements to gain admission to the law department through direct entry. Any candidate seeking admission through direct entry must meet the requirements below;
- He/She must have at least five credits in O level results. It should not be more than two sittings.
- He/she must purchase a direct entry form. Either from the school portal or through the joint admission matriculation board (JAMB)
- National Certificate of Education (NCE) or National Diploma (ND) Upper credit or merit RESULT in a related field.
- Satisfying the faculty or department requirements.
Cut off mark for law in Nigeria
To study law in Nigerian federal universities, you need at least a JAMB score of 200. Every candidate wishing to study law in Nigeria must score 200 or above before he/she will be considered for admission.
However, the general cut off mark for most courses is 150, but those who want to study law and other professional courses like medicine, nursing, etc are expected to have a minimum score of 200 in JAMB.
